Hey everybody! We are back! So much to write about, that I am splitting this up into a couple of posts, so stay tuned.
The ride back home was very long. We listened to The Return of the King on cd for a few hours (which was awesome) and then I listened to my ipod for a couple of hours. I listened to a bunch of things that I hadn't heard for a while, and have come up with some good music selections for an 11 hour road trip.
And since I know that all of you are wondering what they are..... here you go...
1. The Lord of the Rings trilogy soundtrack (the most awesome soundtrack in the World!)
2. May it be-- not too sure who this was written by, but it is awesome, and it is played at the end of The Fellowship of the Ring, and if you want to listen to it, go here
3. The Child's garden of verses (by Robert Louis Stevenson) put to music by Ted Jacobs, they are the best! I think the cd is called The Child's garden of Songs...
4. The Days gone by -- by Ted Jacobs -- these are some poems by American poets (Emily Dickenson, Poe,
Walter Delamare (don't know how to spell his name...) and other famous ones).
5. And of course the other awesome artists, like Michael Card, Keith Green, Mark Shultz, and last but not least...Newsboys.
Well, now you know my choice of music, now Day 1 of my adventures in Florida.

Today we left.
I am right now laying on the bed I have to share with Abi at Grandma and Pake's house in Florida. I have decided to call this place, the Colony. Without further ado, I will relate what passed over next week.
"The Colony" Day 1:
I woke up at 4:15 am to leave at five for driving to the colony. 11 hours, two revolting fast food meals and a really good book later, we arrived. Across the street there were some old folk staring at us. The colony doesn't generally allow anyone under 55 or so years old, but this was an emergency... ( by the way, Dad got his first senior discount today, it was probably a mistake, but we all thought it was hilarious, deffidently facebook worthy... but hey, we got $3 off!) As they (the neighbors), stared at us for a while we unpacked the car, I was getting kind of wierded out.
I joked that you could find anything in the laundry room, and it was mostly true.
There was a lot of junk there, cause nobody ever threw anything away. There were lots of bugs too... dead bugs, but still bugs.
Then Mum decided that she was starving, so we went to this "amish" cooking restaurant; that was a big dissapointment. No candles, no hats, electricity everywhere, the ladies weren't even wearing dresses! What a let down! The food was pretty good though, but still, that's no excuse!
Then we went to Walmart. I hate walmart. 'Nuff said.
When we came back to the colony, we realized that we forgot to buy the air spray that makes the air smell good, because it stank! Then we turned the water on and the whole house started smelling like rotten eggs! Yuck.
The best part of the day was that I finished two really good books, and there are two (in the same series) more that I can get at the library when I get home!!!!! I will probably write about them later.
Well, that is journal entry #1, more later, for now, good night!!!!

Sorry this is so choppy, I was kind of tired when I wrote it.
Nonsense. I thought it was rather well done and I wholeheartedly agreed with most of the sentiments therein.I am looking forward to part two.
