Guild-ness

Wow, it has been a whole month since I last blogged. Sorry about that. The time for Guild has rolled around again, and I am, as is usual this time of year, very very tired of my songs. As some of you may know, I am doing the Sonatina program this year. That means I have to have 5 Sonstinas memorized and perfected and ready to be judged. I used to think I liked Sonatinas, I don't anymore. As I wrote in a poem about Guild last year "But after the 5 millionth time of playing them, they have gotten to be quite annoying." This is my view on the subject. In fact, I now find my songs so dreadfully boring that I have a hard time paying attention to what I am playing. Yesterday Abigail was watching YouTube videos in the piano room with headphones on, and I found myself watching them while I played too. And most of the time I am playing I am thinking about other things. Ah well, "It shall all be over tomorrow at noon, and I shall be free not a bit too soon." (to quote last year's Guild poem.) Well, that is all I have to say for the present time, I will have to blog some more later this week, because there are a lot of things happening next week that I am excited about. Joanna :)
