This morning I ordered something from the internet, which is something I have never done before. It was surprisingly easy, and I got free shipping!
Now you are probably wondering what I ordered, so I'll tell you....
A school book for Justin
A bible case (so my bible doesn't get ruined)
and a book for me (I have heard many great things about this book, and was quite curious as to what it would be like)
(I hope I like it)
(Maybe I'll even make a post about it once I have read it)
(I'll bet you're wondering what it is called)
(But I think you will just have to wait until I write that post about it)
(if I remember).
This morning I didn't have to do any school!!!! What I did have to do was:
Do 2 loads of laundry
Clean the house
Clean out the fridge (which with our messy fridge is a 2 1/2 hour job)
But I didn't have to do any school!
We have a Guild coming up on April 8th, so we have been practicing for that a lot lately. If you don't know what Guild is, this tells a little about it http://www.jspianolab.com/guild.php
Justin, Abigail, and I are in National (which means you have to do 10 peices by memory in front of the judge) and Aaron is doing International (which means he has to do 15 pieces). I am playing:
Sonatina in C By Muzio Clementi (Which counts as 3 songs because it has 3 different movements.)
Solfeggietto by C.P.E. Bach
A reflection of Love by Melody Bober
Prelude in G major by J.S. Bach
Of Strange Lands and People by Robert Schumann
Clowns by Dmitri Kabelevski
Transposition of Tarentella (spelling?) from C minor into the keys of A minor and D minor
Sight reading (which is what I positively hate doing, because she makes me play a piece I have never seen before in front of the judge lady)
On the whole though, Guild is better than recitals, cause it's just one lady instead of a room full of people.
In a couple of years I want to be able to play pieces like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLcRnmVcKTo because that is just epic. (of course, all of Kyle Landry's youtube videos are epic, he is such a great pianist.)
You may have been wondering what I am going to memorize next now that I am done with Psalm 34, so I'll tell you. It's Psalm 103, which I memorized half or so of a while ago, but never finished.
And there you are, a post about all the random things that I have done today. Hope that this didn't bore you to death.
Joanna~
