So just to catch you up with all the big things that have happened since I last wrote.
I got a job! I am currently employed at Chickfila (the same one Justin worked at).
I really like my boss. Whenever I come in to work when he is there he says "Hello there, my little friend". It is usually pretty fun working there, and I like it.
Justin went off to college! He is going to Grove City College in Grove City PA, which is actually pretty far away. So Abigail got his room, and I don't have to share my room with anyone anymore! He was just home for Thanksgiving break, and we had all forgotten how noisy he is. When he left yesterday, our house got considerably quieter.
He likes college, and will be home again in less than a month for Christmas break.
I am in 11th grade! This is the hardest thing that has probably ever happened to me. When you get behind in books in 11th grade, you stay behind for weeks and weeks until you have a week or two when you don't have to work as many hours at your job, so you can catch up. This week will hopefully be one of those weeks since I only have to work for 5 hours on Friday.
Surprisingly enough, I only really hate one of my books for this term, called Our National Parks by John Miur (http://www.sierraclub.org/john_muir_exhibit/writings/our_national_parks/) which is positively the most boring thing I have ever set eyes on.
My History this year is called "History of the Twentieth Century" by Martin Gilbert. Basically it is really chock full of history, which makes it kind of hard to read a lot of at one time. So I am behind by about a hundred pages, which is not a good thing.
I did enjoy reading "The Americanization of Edward Bok" by Edward Bok, because it was very interesting.
I also liked "Roosevelt's Letters to His Children", because Theodore Roosevelt wrote very interesting and fun letters to his children.
There are others that I didn't like as much such as "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque, and "Testament of Youth" by Vera Brittain (which I was supposed to have finished by now, but am only half way through).
As you can probably tell, most of what occupies my life right now is school, which is not my preference, but there it is.
Now for my favourite thing: Music. This is still my favourite piece to listen to, and this is my favourite piece that I am learning to play right now.
Hopefully that catches you up on all the things that have happened that I can think of right now, and I really hope to not forget that I have a blog for months again.
