stuffs

I am taking a short break from my series of posts about our trip to DC. You may be thinking that this isn't fair because I only posted about said trip once, but I assure you, we all need a break from posts about DC. (Mostly because Mum is making the calendar right now, and all the pictures are on her computer, thus, the break from that topic.)

You may have been wondering what exactly has been going on since I last posted, so I'll fill you in on the highlights.

LOTS of school. I am not exaggerating. It's true. Ask anybody. This is mostly because I am way behind on science, but thankfully I don't have another science lab until January 11th so I should have enough time to read, study and test for three modules. Hopefully. Another thing I am behind on is Les Miserables, which is not good. I think the reason I am behind is because I don't want this guy to go to jail, and I think that he might just end up there if I keep reading. I also don't want this other lady to die, but she is so sick, I guess I had better put her out of her misery soon. Though I suppose I am being cruel to the little girl still stuck with her oppressors without any hope of deliverance. I did read some today, but I got yelled at soon after for not doing what I was supposed to do, that I soon stopped and helped Dad put up shelves (which I think may have been a bit more satisfying than that certain chapter in Les Miserables). Needless to say, I need to get to it.

I had to play for church again. Though it was different this time since it was for the Thanksgiving service. That means that I had to practice just  about every hymn in the book and hope the ones that people selected were easyish ones. Thankfully, it wasn't all that bad. Dr. Knight was leading the service (he is so nice, and he asked me before each and every song if it was ok and if I could play it), there were not that many people there, and they all picked ones that I could play. In fact, I had practiced all of the ones they picked before at home, except the one Mum picked--but she asked me beforehand if it was alright to pick it or if I would faint. I said it was alright, and I didn't even faint once (though I came close at one point, when I couldn't play the left hand of one song in a certain spot, and had to just play the right hand). All in all it was not that terribly bad, especially since I had found an easier version of Be Thou My Vision and brought it with me because I knew that somebody was going to pick it, and I had best be prepared since I love that one so much. I am glad someone picked it though, because it would have been so disappointing that I had spent so much time practicing it and even found an easier version if we hadn't sung it.

Justin just gave me a million new soundtracks to listen to, so they are downloading now. I guess it's only a few new soundtracks, but they have a million songs (Lord of the Rings extended edition soundtracks--over ten hours of music, and Chronicles of Narnia, which really don't have that much of a variety of themes, but they are still pretty good).

Aaron's 13th birthday was on Wednesday, and he got legos, a bow and arrows, and a blog (if you would like to read his blog, email him, it is for invitees only--though I would hope he figures out a better name for it and actually post something before you do read it-- all it says right now is " This is my blog... I have finally got one!!! Yay!!! " ---I guess I can forgive him a little because he only started it on Wednesday, and I know it took me a while to get up to the quality of content you see here now).
The funny thing about the bow and arrows is that when Mum tried them, on her first shot she hit bullseye! it was really funny because Aaron hadn't even hit the target block yet.

I just figured out how to record something to itunes, which I am very excited about, and which you may see the effects of at a later time.

I also just figured out the perfect size to make ones handkerchief. (I prefer mine large). I found this out while making one, (I have a cold) and then decided to make more. If all of my friends receive large handkerchiefs for Christmas, you'll know that that size is perfect.
I have also found out the perfect way to dry handkerchiefs (I always hand wash mine in the sink because some of them are embroidered). You just take a hanger with which you would normally hang skirts on and attach it to the hanger the way you would a skirt (though you must remember not to hang it back up next to your skirts, or else you would have wet skirts).

Well, I suppose that is it. Have a wonderful day!
